Behavioral Solutions Inc. - Training and Workshops

Introduction to our Online Training. 15 minutes.
This is a free unit to introduce how our online training system operates.  This introduction combines a few slides regarding Autism and Intellectual Disabilities.  We have also included a brief quiz to give you a feel for the range of question formats that can be used.  We are focused on producing training modules that include knowledge acquisition outcomes which thus allows us to provide certificates verifying competent completion of the training module.  This is an obvious asset for any organization wanting to ensure their staff competency based certification for their staff. We offer a range of options for organizations to register multiple staff training.  Give us a call if you want to find out more.  To ensure the best introduction to our training material please make sure the screen is in full screen size (some systems open with the training screen in a smaller window).

How to define a behavior
This self-help training module provides you with a basic introduction to the process of how to develop a practical definition of a behavior. This is a core issue for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or the various derivative programs such as Positive Behavior Support; Pivotal Response Training; Prevent, Reinforce, Teach etc. Not developing good practical definitions of the problem behavior as well as its positive alternative behavior is one of the leading reasons leading to ineffective outcomes. This module includes a three part presentation, a handbook, training exercise as well as a number of handouts to help you work your way through defining what the problem is through to completing practical behavioral definitions for the behaviors you wish to change. While this module is designed as a stand alone module it is possible to arrange for support in working through the material.
