CLBC Policy Orientation Sessions We are very excited about the new CLBC policy “Behavioural Support and Safety Planning” and the revision to the Critical Incidents Policy. To support the new CLBC policy initiatives we are offering a series of 1/2 day orientation training sessions to staff and agencies regarding the implementation of the policies in everyday practice. The following orientation and information sessions are designed to assist you and your agency to develop internal policies and procedures that are consistent with the Behavioural Support and Safety Planning Policy and the companion Guide for Service Providers as well as the revised Critical Incidents Policy. Orientation Format Presentation Style: Lecture and guided participation in the form of group work, illustrative exercises and examples and group discussion. It is highly recommended that all interested agencies attend the full series. Attendance in any of the sessions first requires completion of the Behavioural Support and Safety Planning Policy Orientation and Information session. However, actual delivery of each session remains subject to an adequate number of enrolled attendees. Therefore, we highly recommend that you select several dates for which you are available. We will contact you to confirm your attendance in a class once enrollment reaches the required levels for class delivery. If interested in the full sequence of 4 sessions, we require you attend them in the order they are listed (from 1-4), however, you may take them at any of the following times. For example, you may take sessions 1 & 2 in November and finish sessions 3 & 4 in December. Check back for additional training opportunities in 2010.
